Collectors: I collect old money & want to frame bills in "float frames." Could gl chemicals damage bills?

I have bought float frames, which will encase the bills in two pieces of gl, which means I can view them from both the front side or flip them to view the back sides. My concern is that gl has chemicals that could possibly damage the notes. Perhaps discolor the note over time, or something along those lines. Anyone think my fear is valid or that nothing at all will happen to the bills? Any other damage I may not be considering? Thanks!
