A question to all my Muslim friends?

you couldn't be more right in saying that Muslims do not speak out enough about the fanatics in Muslim countries. as a Muslim i want to see more Muslims condemning these a**holes but most keep quiet. Why? I think because, as you said, the majority of Muslims are moderate and moderates don't protest do they? Moderate people don't make a big hoop-la about things! they prefer the simple quiet way of striving to meet ordinary people and making friends with non-muslims so that they know that Muslims are normal people. They would rather organise nice educational campaigns rather than yell and shout protest. I believe some Muslims are scared of speaking out in case they are seen as "unbelievers" or the Islamists favourite word "kaffir". But ask the Muslim in your workplace or at your school, "what do you think about terrorism ect.?" you'll find the majority will condemn it and inform you that Islam does not condone such things. It's just that we won't come together to condemn it out loud because we are easy going and just want to focus on our life, loved ones and religion without getting involved in politics (like most people do). we put our trust in Allah and leave it up to Him that ignorance will not prevail.
