PLEASE HELP: Is it worth it to take bipolar medication for type 1 bipolar if you get episodes infrequently?

Medications I hate but sometimes are needed. Whatever your choice you need to quit smoking Marijuana if you choose to be on a Bipolar medication. Trust me, I've went through hell this past year because I combined the two. It totally messed my head up.
