What kind of clothes do teens my age use to school?

Okay, I've been homeschooled all my life and just now I'm getting into public school for the first time...And I just realised that I have no Idea what to wear to school, the rules are pretty simple, nothing too skimpy, nothing that promotes drugs,,alchohol, or violence...I live in Chicago, so I dunno if that affects anything...I just don't want to get to school on my first day, underdressed, where they think I'm some kind of bum, or overdressed, then where they think I'm some kind of snob...Thanks everyone in advance...
