Broken Cable TV Box... What to do?

So i've dropped 3 drops of soda on my Cogeco cable box and it turned on, then the lights died so i umed that it turned off, but then i could here it buzzing, as it does when its turned on. I turned on the tv which works fine, but when i tried to turn on the cable it simple would not respond... i can't even turn it off! So what do i do, do i take it apart some how and clean it, or do i call my cable services for a new box, and if i end up having to pick option B then how much, and how long will it be? IM SUCH A KLUTZ! And thank you for your help!
