Most comfortable heating blanket?

I'm getting my folks a set of heating blankets this Christmas because of how unbearably cold it gets in their room, no matter how high they turn up the thermostat. However, most heating blankets I've used are itchy and thin, and the cords get irritating after awhile. Any recommendations on a good brand or a specific kind of blanket? I'd like to stay under $100 a blanket.
