Other than throwing out in trash or shredding what could I do with old family pictures, funeral programs, etc.

In my effort to scale down on clutter what can I do with old family pictures, funeral programs, graduation invitations, and other memorabilia that I may look at from time to time, but would not p on to my children because they could care less. Besides they are starting to aculate their own clutter - stuff that has sentimental value, but is just aculating in boxes. It seems like I have heard about organizations that collect stuff to doent how people lived their daily lives during certain time periods, etc. thanks for your help.
